PHLPost releases stamps marking NCBA 50th anniversary

A new set of commemorative stamps will mark the 50th anniversary of the National College of Business and Arts (NCBA), the Philippine Postal Corp. said.

PHLPost said the commemorative stamps feature the NCBA façade at the NCBA Cubao Campus in Quezon City.

The stamps also have the Anniversary theme inscription “Stronger in Spirit, Deeper in Wisdom, United in Purpose” and the official anniversary logo highlighting the 50th Anniversary.

Some 101,000 copies of the regular stamps are to be sold at P12 each.

NCBA started out in 1968, when its founder the late Dr. Doroteo Pasion launched it together with Col. Rafael Yap-Diangco, Atty. Jose Torres Jr., Gloria Menez and Lourdes Sarabia.

It offerred specialized courses in Business Administration, Bachelor of Arts, two-year course in Secretarial Administration and its own CPA Review.

“From a small edifice along R. Papa St., NCBA slowly expanded its academic programs and facilities with the single purpose of producing for the nation the type of educated manpower it needs for its development and well being,” PHLPost said.

“Today, NCBA boasts of a complete package of academic offerings – from preparatory school to an expanded tertiary education program and graduate courses,” it added.
