Fire destroys 600 houses in Navotas
A pre-dawn fire destroyed 600 houses in Navotas City Tuesday morning, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).
The fire broke out at one of the houses in Barangay North Bay Boulevard North at around 4 a.m. and immediately spread to adjacent homes mostly made of light materials.
Reports said the fire affected some 1,200 families in the incident.
The fire also engulfed the Navotas fish port. It reached Task Force Alpha before it was declared under control at around 6:25 a.m.
Investigators said they have yet to determine the cause of the fire.
