Join na kayo! Makati City launches Lingkod Bayan Caravan

Makati Mayor Abby Binay will lead the launch of the Makati Lingkod Bayan Caravan on Saturday, August 13, 2016, from 8am to 12 noon at Pio del Pilar Elementary School, Arnaiz St. corner P. Binay St., Barangay Pio del Pilar, Makati City.

Binay said the city-wide caravan aims to provide one-stop, easy access, service-oriented assistance in line with her administration’s thrust of providing meaningful and sustainable support to the barangays in the city. It will be held bi-monthly in collaboration with the JCBinay Foundation.

“Through this activity, we aim to lighten the burden of the people in the barangays by bringing the services closer to them. With the Makati Lingkod Bayan Caravan, our constituents will be able to avail themselves of free medical check-ups and process necessary documents without having to go to City Hall,” Binay said.

Among the services to be offered on Saturday are healthcare services, social services and city services.

Healthcare services will be provided through medical, dental and ophthalmic missions. Qualified physicians will conduct free check-ups and consultations for constituents in the fields of internal medicine, geriatric care, women’s healthcare and pediatrics, among others. Available medicines will also be dispensed for free and a mobile clinic that offers diagnostic services like X-ray and ECG (electrocardiogram) will also be available.

For the dental mission, free dental check-ups, tooth extraction, and free dentures will also be made available to target beneficiaries, including senior citizens, on a “first come, first served basis”.

On the other hand, the ophthalmic mission will provide free eye consultations, and reading glasses will be distributed to those who need them.

Social services will consist of free legal aid, a feeding program and beauty services
